[tweefsel] is a fairly stagnant site dedicated to my professional activities as a freelance editor and writer. The term ‘tweefsel’ is a variant of the Dutch word for ‘fabric’, as in: interweaving layers of text and/or image.
That said, the work going on behind this site is all but stagnant. The curtain isn’t falling, it merely waves, shudders every now and then from a film flickering on the other side, or a page turning.
The Dutch section of this site shows a few samples of my work as a professional editor and writer. This ranges from editing nonfictional books on history and literature to bestsellers in fact or fiction, youth novels or educational material.
As a writer, I mainly focus on film and literature, with a preference for ‘edgy’ work and a particular fondness for artists with an eye on the folds of history man climbs and stumbles upon. For evermore.
Constantly seeking new horizons in text an
d cinema, I hope to put some English samples of my work online in the not too distant future. Whatever that may be.
Update 22 february: Soon is now, Zouch magazine published my ‘Extended Short Circuit‘, an article on Nathan Wrann’s electrifying film Burning Inside. For additional information, see this post. More to come…
Should you need help in the English-Dutch language combination or have an interest in professional writings on film, literature and ‘the like’, I welcome your proposals, musings or otherwise creative writings.
Do not hesitate to drop me a line if you have an interesting project that deserves some extra attention, or if you want to inquire about sending review material.
